A modification can only be implemented though the formal procedures of configuration control. Before a modification can be implemented, the following requirements must be met:

• A change request must be registered against an approved physical item.
• The change request Approval Status must be Approved or Expedited
• The co-requisite or optional relationship linked to the modification object is not approved.
